Shirley Mitchell, Financial Secretary

Shirley was born and raised in Southern California and came to Georgia in 1984 for her husband’s two-year job assignment which lasted a lot longer than two years. (Her beloved husband Henry passed away in 2017). She has three grown children – Doug and Karen who live in California, and Larry who lives here in Evans.

She has over 25 years of accounting experience and loves people, so she feels at home in her position as Financial Secretary for Lewis Memorial.

She has enjoyed volunteering with Broad Street Ministry and Making Ends Meet as well as helping with children’s Sunday School at Warren Baptist Church.
